Sensing Infinity
Finding the Love of My Life

I'm glad you're here.Think of moments, including birth, as memories
rippling through our bodies.
I began with a mind open to the ocean
of innocence and experience, as we all
do, but my thoughts were squeezed by
ancient bands of beliefs formed from
chemical memories, tightening and
tilting and coloring the way I saw
myself in the world. This book is
my way, for the moment, of defining
how the circle of experience spirals
and widens; how any egg of a mind
begins as its fertilization of thought,
then grows and reaches in its quest for
truth, to know itself. Ultimately, with
the essential gift of our parents as our
tickets to ride, and our many encounters
and experiences along the way, the mind
always succeeds.
With love, we grow up.
My mind is only one of mllions, billions, like the stars.
There is infinity to remember once we begin.
Imagine only one moment as all there is, what it is to be in an upturned coffee table, sailing around the Horn of Africa in a storm, masts quivering, sails snapping hard, ropes stretching , wood creaking, water blowing, splashing, splattering. The full moment's movement is all you feel, thrilling and real.
I began to wonder if images in our dreams, and all we can imagine are real just because we think them. And lost, gone forever, if we forget. Then I wondered if we disappear just as easily.
